This is one of the first records i've heard with such direct influence from the likes of Mount Kimbie and the casually-coiffured James Blake. Sparse and deep electronics punctuated with disconsolate guitars and organic percussion. White men doing R&B vocal lines, you know the credo.

MANNI DEE - ANTIDOTE (2011)

This is the latest single Brighton-based producer Manni Dee. With a sound more akin to the west coast beatsmiths of Brainfeeder Records, Dee's music is a cosmic departure from much of what the UK has produced recently.

JOSEPH NANNER - NEW STAR BROADCASTING

Illusive beat maker presumably living on the astral plane. Who knows who he/she/it is or when this got released. All i know is that Matthew David @ Leaving Records should snap it up.

WASKERLEY WAY - WIND SHEAR EP (2011)

Waskerely Way is the bedroom musings of self-proclaimed sonic miscreant Michael Phillip Bridgewater. After releasing his debut album Waterfall in February, Bridgewater is back with an even more accomplished and refined recording. What was a typical chillwave sound is now overshadowed by expert shoegazing, whilst still retaining the lustrous synths and low fidelity vocals. The 9 minute title track is a strong contender for his best work to date, landing a sound somewhere between My Bloody Valentine, Washed Out and Fripp & Eno.
